Drummer Kent Bryson is a Bay Area native. He has performed at numerous Jazz and Blues festivals throughout the US, Canada,
Italy. Germany and Japan. A busy sideman, he works frequently with Jazz, Blues, R & B, and show artists. He appears regularly
at Jazz at Pearl's with vocalist Kim Nalley and other Bay Area favorites, as well as national artists such as Houston Person,
David "Fathead" Newman, Ernestine Anderson, and Plas Johnson.
Kent has taught music in both classroom and private settings. In addition to his private students, he has been affiliated
with the Young Musicians Program at the University of California, Berkeley and the Mountain View Community School Of Music
And Arts. While living in New York, in the eighteies, he taught at the Berkeley Carroll School and Classroom Recorder Arts,
both in Brooklyn NY.
Kent is currently accepting students at his El Cerrito studio.

Kent has worked extensively in the Music Copying field, the exacting Art of preparing orchestra scores and parts. Some past
clients include: the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Music Theatre International, Berkeley Opera, Electronic Arts, Donald Byrd,
Ray Obiedo, Marc Van Wageningen, Omar Sosa.
